 Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a powerful, natural solution for hair restoration that comes directly from your own body. We begin by drawing a small amount of your blood and concentrating it to create a plasma rich in platelets. These platelets are your body's healing powerhouses, containing a high concentration of over 30 growth factors. Once injected into the scalp, these growth factors are released, acting as powerful biological signals that ignite a cascade of regenerative activity. They wake up dormant hair follicles, stimulate increased blood flow to the scalp, and nourish the hair roots with essential nutrients. They also promote new blood vessel formation, ensuring a revitalized and nourished scalp environment to support stronger, healthier hair.

This process revitalizes the entire scalp ecosystem, leading to remarkable, long-lasting results. You can expect to see a significant reduction in hair shedding, increased hair density and thickness, and the stimulation of new, healthier hair growth. By using your body's own regenerative capabilities, PRP offers a safe, natural, and highly effective path to regaining a fuller, more confident head of hair.

Plasma Solution

Our PRP treatment is a completely natural and highly effective method for hair restoration.

By using your body's own platelets, we eliminate the risk of allergic reactions and ensure a bio-compatible solution. The entire process is performed in-clinic, from a simple blood draw to the final application.

This ensures the highest standards of safety and care, providing you with a natural and powerful solution to hair loss.

The PRP is a potent serum of your body’s own regenerative factors, meticulously prepared and administered for optimal hair follicle stimulation.

It is important to understand that because the plasma is a natural substance derived from your body, its richness and effectiveness are directly dependent on your health. Factors such as chronic illness, autoimmune disorders, or significant vitamin and mineral deficiencies can impact the quality of your plasma and, in turn, the results of the treatment.

 T-Lab PRP Tubes.
The Gold Standard in PRP for preserving high platelet count

At our practice, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments, which is why we exclusively use T-Lab PRP Tubes.

T-Lab is recognized globally as a leader in regenerative medicine, offering a superior system compared to generic or gel-based tubes:

Purity & Power (Maximized Growth Factors): T-Lab delivers a higher concentration of pure, therapeutic platelets and growth factors compared to many other systems. A key reason for this potency is the tube itself: T-Lab tubes feature ultra-smooth, inert inner walls.

Generic tubes can have rough surfaces that prematurely activate your platelets during preparation, causing them to "burn out" by releasing their healing factors too early. T-Lab's smooth walls keep the platelets dormant and intact, ensuring they reserve their maximum healing power for when they are injected into your target tissue.

Safety First (Gel-Free): Unlike traditional tubes that use a separation gel, T-Lab utilizes a safe, gel-free process. This eliminates the risk of injecting unnecessary polymers or potentially harmful gel components into your body, making the procedure cleaner and safer.

Consistent Results: The T-Lab system uses a scientifically optimized protocol to ensure we consistently produce high-quality PRP every single time, leading to more predictable and effective outcomes for your treatment.

In short: By choosing T-Lab, we are choosing the highest standard for safety, purity, and effectiveness for your PRP treatment.

Indications

This treatment is highly effective for a range of conditions related to hair thinning, loss, and damage.

It is indicated for:

Androgenetic Alopecia: Commonly known as male or female pattern baldness, this treatment works to strengthen existing follicles and slow down the progression of hair loss.

Telogen Effluvium: It helps to revitalize the scalp and follicles to stimulate regrowth after periods of stress, illness, or hormonal changes.

General Hair Thinning: It is an excellent solution for individuals experiencing a general reduction in hair density and thickness.

Damaged Hair: The treatment can improve the quality of hair that is brittle, dry, or damaged by chemical processes and heat styling, restoring its strength and vitality.

Poor Scalp Health: It improves overall scalp microcirculation and health, creating a better environment for hair growth.

This treatment will not be effective for:

Scarring Alopecia: This includes conditions where the hair follicles have been permanently destroyed.

Completely Bald Areas: The treatment works by stimulating existing dormant hair follicles, and therefore cannot create new hair in areas where follicles are no longer present.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

While pregnant or breastfeeding.

Have an active skin infection, inflammation, or herpes simplex flare-up in the treatment area.

Have a history of keloid scarring.

Blood and Platelet Disorders: Conditions such as thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), platelet dysfunction syndromes, or clotting disorders like hemophilia would make the treatment ineffective, as the core component of PRP is either insufficient or non-functional.

Active Systemic Infections or Fevers: If the body is actively fighting an infection, the quality of the blood and plasma is often compromised. The body's resources are redirected to the immune response, which can lead to a reduced concentration of growth factors in the plasma.

Chronic Diseases: Conditions like chronic liver disease or kidney disease can significantly affect the composition of the blood and plasma proteins, reducing the therapeutic potential of the PRP.

Cancer: Patients with an active cancer diagnosis, particularly those undergoing chemotherapy, often have suppressed bone marrow function, leading to very low platelet counts that make PRP preparation impossible.

Autoimmune Conditions: An active autoimmune disease (e.g., Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis) may be a contraindication. The body's inflammatory state can interfere with the regenerative signals and may prevent the desired healing response.

Anemia: Severe cases of anemia can reduce the concentration of healthy blood components, potentially affecting the overall quality of the prepared plasma.

Certain Medications: The use of medications such as blood thinners (anticoagulants) or high-dose NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen) can impair platelet function and the ability of the blood to clot, making the procedure a contraindication

PRE TREATMENT

Attend a full consultation to discuss your concerns and health history.

Please be aware that this treatment involves a blood draw. In some cases, finding a suitable vein can be challenging, which may require multiple attempts or even lead to the cancellation of the treatment if a vein cannot be located. This treatment may not be suitable for clients who have a strong fear of needles or do not like having their blood taken.

Avoid any activities that could irritate or aggravate your scalp, such as chemical peels or strong hair dyes, at least one week prior.

Arrive with a clean, freshly washed scalp and hair, free of products.

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) for 24-48 hours before your appointment to minimize bruising.

Please note that due to its natural chemical attributes, PRP can be more uncomfortable or painful than treatments using lab-formulated solutions.

PROTOCOL

A tailored treatment plan is essential for achieving the best results, and our approach is always based on a thorough consultation.

While individual needs vary, a typical initial course of treatment consists of 4 to 6 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. This allows for cumulative stimulation and maximizes the effect of the growth factors.

Visible improvements, such as reduced hair shedding and new growth, can often be observed 3 months into the treatment, with the most significant results appearing after 4-6 months.

Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 to 12 months to sustain the results.

To achieve the best results, all in-clinic treatments must be paired with a consistent home care routine advised during your consultation.

AFTER CARE

Do not wash your hair or wet your scalp for at least 24 hours after the treatment.

Avoid saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers for 48 hours.

Refrain from strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

Do not touch, massage, or apply any products to the treated area for at least 12 hours.

May use the soothing dutexpanthenol scalp ampoule received after treatment for at home application.

Modalities

Treatment modalities explained. They may be applied and combined during any PRP treatment.

Micro-needling

Microneedling is a procedure that uses a device with very fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the scalp's surface. This process stimulates the body's natural healing response, promoting collagen production and improving blood circulation to the hair follicles. These tiny channels also allow for superior absorption of topical solutions like polynucleotides, delivering key ingredients deep into the skin.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a technique that involves the injection of a customized cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other beneficial substances directly into the mesoderm, the middle layer of the skin. For hair restoration, this method ensures that a high concentration of active ingredients reaches the hair follicles directly, bypassing the digestive system and enhancing their effect on hair growth

Electroporation

Electroporation is a non-invasive, needle-free technique that uses a pulsed electrical current to create temporary, microscopic channels in the outer layer of the skin. This process significantly increases the skin's permeability, allowing large molecules, like polynucleotides, to be absorbed deeply into the tissue without any discomfort. It is a painless way to achieve the high-level penetration typically associated with injection-based therapies.
